Procedure to find out Village Roots

To search the root of your village, following action is required to be taken.

(a)      Note down the Had Basat No. (                                  ) of your village which I have already given in front of all the villages for ready reference.

(b)     Hire a retired Patwari, good in Urdu reading because all old records are in Urdu.

(c)      Approach Tehsil Kanoogo in your tehsil headquater and request for Basta (                 ) of your Had Basat No. given above.

(d)     Find out the ”Khasra Bondobast” (                        ) book out of the basta (               ) of your Had Basat No.

(e)      Khasra Bandobast is also called “Chaurasia” (                       ) by the Patwaris.

(f)      The complete details (roots) are given in the Khasra Bandobast / Chaurasia in the form of a big chart of size of approximately one foot wide and four feet long depending upon the village population (Family Heads) at that time.

(g)     Get it photo copied and translate it to Punjabi / English as required through the hired Patwari.

(h)     Share your village roots with rest of the Mand villages to find out the ancestors relationship.
